Established in 1994 as part of the Barloworld Capital Equipment business, the focus was the refurbishment and repair of a large range of components
for the mining and construction equipment industries. In 2000, Glenn Stevens orchestrated a buy-out of Cerma, moving the company to its current 1600 square
meter facility in Boksburg, where the business now operates as a fully family owned and managed enterprise.
Cerma specialises in thermal spray technologies, encapsulating both HVOF and ARC spray, with a dedicated booth set up to provide repairs on a wide range of
components, from pump sleeves to shaft journals to large rolls used in production environments and everything inbetween. In addition to thermal spray, Cerma
has a well equipped workshop to cater for machining and welding services in-house. In order to provide a holistic service solution, Cerma has retained its focus on areas
where we are strongest, establishing partnerships with like minded service providers who provide materials, components built to spec or services which our customers will
require in order to complete your job to the maximum possible level of quality in the shortest time frame possible. Cerma prides itself on the fact that once your job
arrives on our floor, it is our responsibility to ensure that the process is managed by us, whether your job is on one of our machines, or with one of our partners, thereby
ensuring that our customers receive the service and delivery that they would expect.
Cerma is run and managed by the following people:
» Glenn Stevens » Managing Director
» Vivien Stevens » Director - Finance, HR and Administration
» Johan Bootha » Operations Manager, Sales
» Paul Stevens » Project Manager, Sales
» Jenna Odendaal » Manager- Administration
In addition to the above office staff, we have a complement of highly skilled, highly experienced machinists, welders and general shop floor staff, all dedicated to the
highest levels of quality in their respective disciplines.
